Autologous lipofilling

Autologous lipofilling

After due processing, the fat obtained through liposuction may be used to fill certain areas of the body in an operation called liposculpture.
Instead of disposing of this fat, it can be used to model and increase areas such as beasts, buttocks and facial regions (cheeks, lips, nasogenian furrows). Fat may also be injected into existing scars or in breast reconstruction after a mastectomy. By means of this technique, patients with excessive fat deposits in specific areas can achieve very successful, natural looking results in a breast increase without the use of implants. Fat injection can also be used in the treatment of tuberous breast.
Our team is very experienced in the application of this technique, both in the reconstructive and in the aesthetic aspect.
This surgery is normally performed under general anaesthesia. The time required will depend on the number of areas to be treated. The patient usually remains in hospital for about 24 hours. After the operation, a support girdle must be worn for at least a month, and during that time the patient must avoid any strenuous activity. The final results can be seen after approximately six months, when all the swelling has disappeared.
